Steven de Munnik

Regional Representative, NSLSC
As a Regional Representative, Steven develops and maintains relationships with and provides assistance to: Students, Student Groups, Educational Institutions / School Officials, and Clients with regards to Government Sponsored Student Loans. Steven conducts repayment seminars for students as needed, provides the NSLSC kiosk at various school functions within the GTA, Southwestern Ontario and Niagara Regions, grows and fosters relationships with key stakeholders, offers assistance where issues of escalation have not been resolved to the student's satisfaction and works to support our client's programs on a local basis.
 
Steven comes with a diverse career background, working for both the private and public sectors recently. During his career Steven has excelled at relationship building with various stakeholders within both sectors. Steven has in-depth experience in the student lending industry having worked in the NSLSC Call Centre for a number of years.  He has also worked as a Program Manager in the Mortgages and Lending Portfolio for a major Canadian bank. In recent years, Steven was a Case Manager for the Government of Canada working primarily on Immigration cases. Steven joined the Regional Relations team in August 2014. Steven has been working closely with schools to assist them in educating their students on the loan repayment process. He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science from Brock University.
